I took a night bus (7hrs) from Mendoza to Santiago just in time to catch Christmas in Chile. My chilean friends're already waiting for me early in the morning (like 5:30am) in the bus station, heart warmed immediately regardelss we just went through a very cold night in the bus.
If you want to ask me where you should visit in Santiago, I guess I really don't know. All I remember is we had a lot of seafood, enjoyed a super sweet Christmas eve dinner with the most lovely family, tasted the yummy local farmer's meal in a family resturant in the way to the ranch. Had my first horseback riding without a saddle, picked and ate tons of fruit in the ranch, overlooked this metropolis from the statue of Virgen Mary, spent $ in the unit of thousand (1USD=470 pesos).
It's been pleasant and wonderful to end my south american trip with so much love and friendship.
