Calafate's just so amazing, you can travel to everywhere from here. I went to El Chalten through the hotel's booking, the van picked us up in the hotels in early morning and dropped us back at night (cost like 100pesos per person).

Read so much about El Chalten's the hiking paradise, which drove me into visiting it even my schedule's way too tight.

Took us 3 hrs to drive to El Chalten, views of semi-desert on the way were so nice, so isolated.

I picked a map from the tourist office and started a hike ourselves. Being such a city girl, who never plans any hiking herself, I was actually quite happy about myself being able to read the map and lead the hike LOL. We managed to hike to the point Laguna Capri (5 hrs in the row). If you have few extra days, you can actually stay here and study all trekkings. After El Chalten I was actually happy about living in HK, where we  have so many hikings spots, only takes half or 1 hr to reach.

Breathing the fresh air and enjoying the green and nature, it should be the best enjoyment on earth. Only there's a little thing bothering me all the time, all the big flies came out at moon when the temp reached 25 degrees. They followed us and flew around to look for a chance to bite us. Believe me, I was wearing long sleeves and covered my head with my scarf, but was still bited few times in my arms (they bited through the clothes). Hurt like hell. So be aware of it if you travel in summer.
